The case is a thin plastic that snaps into place, and the texture of the surface does indeed enhance grip. Dirt can still get into the crevice between the phone and the case, so you will have to take it off and clean it from time to time. It comes with a cheap cloth wipe and 2 clear touchscreen protectors…hardly worth $20.00 dollars. Since I take excellent care of my phone, I stowed away the Incipio case for a few months. The next time that I decided to use it, the thin straight plastic strip (near the volume and silent/ring controls) cracked and broke. When I put it away, it was practically in mint condition, but when I decided to use it again, the item snapped when I took it out – this is before I even tried putting it back on the phone.

Overall I’m disappointed in Incipio and this product. It had great promise and I only really used it for a few weeks, the rest of the time this item was stored away, and it still broke. Buyer beware.
