What is your favorite kitchen gadget?

Something that you’ve had for over 6 months, since the new stuff is always the favorite.

Mine has to be my lemon juicer that I bought in Mexico. It looks like a mini water pump.
MY definition of a gadget is whatever is not food!

I love my crock pot. But if that doesn’t qualify as a “gadget” then I would say the big blue rubber band that helps me open jars. Works every time.

Miracle Thaw…. hands down. It really is a miracle.

But if you don’t consider that a gadget then it has to be….

    A potato ricer

Magic Bullet–the best investment I ever made!! I would highly recommend it to anyone–it does it all and is so small and lightweight… Plus their customer service is awesome–if you need a replacement part; they expedite it out to you-no questions asked.

Since I love to cook I have a lot of favorite gadgets.
My most used of course is a paring knife.
Then second I think is my rubber spatula, I have one you can use in high heat and use it for everything.
I love the little scoops I get flour and sugar out of the canisters with.
    Cooling racks.
    Garlic press

Is a knife considered a “gadget”, or just an implement?

Generally, though, I’m an old-fashioned guy. I do use a food processor fairly often, if I need to mince a ton of garlic (or whatever), but usually I’ll just do it by hand. If everything is perfectly “uniform” it kind of makes the food look artificial. In my opinion.

I suppose my favorite gadget, then—a machine that does the work for me—would be my stand mixer. I have a Kitchenaid Artisan, and I use it no less than three times a week.

My favorite gadget (requires no electric) is the whisk. I have small, med, and large whisks. They are great, easy to clean.

#2 are the heat proof spatulas.

    A Pampered Chef Baker’s Roller…

It has two sizes of rollers for shaping dough on flat surfaces or up the sides of baking dishes. Works great whether it’s rolling out pizza crust or any bar crust, pie crust, even rice krispie bars. Makes everything look professional. I love it!!!

Being a gadget junkie, I do have a variety of this-n-thats. But the 1st things that came to mind was my hands & microwave.

The one thing I would find hard to live without, would be my kitchenaid mixer! I have several of the accessories to go with it too. I use it at least 3 times a week, if not more!
